Gift evergreens will always be cosmetics and perfumes, which are also the most expected gifts, as 40% of Poles would like to receive them. We have completed another competition with the CzasNaZmiane.pl portal and present selected statements about the gifts you buy your loved ones. Did you include cosmetics and perfumes? Did you choose cosmetics for the face, body or bath? Did you choose according to the age of the recipient, e.g. 20+, 40+? Or was it more important to match cosmetics to other skincare needs, e.g. for dry skin, sensitive skin, etc.? Where do you look for information on cosmetics?
When looking for gifts for my loved ones, I make every effort to please them every time. I take their tastes, dreams and needs into account. For Christmas, as I do every year for my loved ones, I have prepared facial care products. Because Christmas is the perfect time to take care not only of yourself, but also your loved ones. When choosing cosmetics, I was primarily guided by their effectiveness, high quality, pleasure of use and suitability for the needs and age of the skin. These are gifts “on the recommendation” of my trusted beautician. They have been tried and tested, so I have no fear of them going wrong.
Cosmetics are the perfect gift for any woman. As Coco Chanel used to say, “There are no ugly women, only lazy ones”. I take care of myself, my sister takes care of herself, my mother. I like to give cosmetics to my loved ones, it’s the most wonderful Christmas present. It is with great interest that I look for the right cosmetics for my mother and sister on the shop shelves. My attention is drawn to the magic of the packaging, then I delve deeper into the subject and look at the age, for whom the range is intended, study the composition. Beauty enchanted in beautiful packaging, facial care products that rejuvenate, moisturise and lovingly caress the skin – this is what I give to my loved ones. Healthy skin, moisturised skin is what lies at the heart of us women. We want to be beautiful and we enjoy using cosmetics because it is a luxury, a duty and a joy 🙂
The cherry on the cake will be a “drop” of perfume, because such a gift is already every woman’s dream come true. Such a gift pleases the eye, such a gift pleases the senses. I believe that a woman can be naked, wrapped in a drop of perfume she is a goddess. A fragrance… I will enchant this Christmas with a fragrance, I will wrap my mother, my sister in beauty. I want them to be happy, well-groomed, feminine, fulfilled 🙂 This year for Christmas I bought a few sets of cosmetics for my loved ones. For my sister it will go to perfume and hair care products, while for my mother I decided to choose face serums and bath products, because I know she loves to relax after a hard day at work. For my female friends, I chose body care products, something we all need. I hope all the gifts will be a hit! When choosing facial products, I am guided by both the intended use for a specific age group and also to match other skincare needs. Every cream I’ve gifted to my mum has turned out to be a hit, thanks to prior consultation with a beautician and reviews from friends as well as those I found online.
During the festive season it is important to share and enjoy giving gifts to other people. I want (if I am successful) to give my winnings to my mum, who is the closest person in my life and deserves as much as possible. I know she is struggling with the signs of old age and still wants to look beautiful and young. I believe the ESTRINI 50+ kit could solve her problems and bring her incredible joy. At Christmas time, I am guided by the principle that happiness is multiplied when it is shared.
Women idolise fashionable outfits, sparkles, perfumes. But it’s hard to buy something for someone because the risk of not getting it right is huge and disappointment almost certain! On the other hand, good cosmetics always come at a price, and that’s what I stick to!!!!. If I really throw money away on nonsense I put it aside and buy my mum, grandmother, sister one, but a particular cosmetic or a set, depending on the sock possibilities 😉 I think Chantarelle cosmetics is a gift that will make any lady who is aware of the need for good care!!!! happy. Apart from a couple of toys for the kids in the extended family, I already have a set of gifts and they are good cosmetics first and foremost, in 2 cases perfumes (because I’m sure which ones). Because of my industry background I don’t ask about the composition of good cosmetics, I know what is good 🙂 and it makes it very easy for me to discern. I know that cheap in cosmetics is not going to be good 🙁 My family appreciates me for valuable gifts, they are small but so great in their effect! Also, I target the gift to the age, style, liking and individuality of the particular person so I always hit the jackpot 😀
Every year Christmas is a huge event for me. I plan my presents very carefully. I ask around first to find out who needs what, and sometimes I look to see what someone would need. But every year, for example, I buy a cosmetic item for my mother. I may buy her something else, but the cosmetic will still be in the package . When buying cosmetics, I read the labels and choose the product according to the skin problem or need, e.g. my dad likes everything that smells of musk, so I look for products that have musk in the scent note…
I decided to buy a 40+ beauty kit for my mum. She has very delicate skin and buying facial products for her is a real challenge. Fortunately, my trusted beautician will be very helpful in my choice. I think my mum will be delighted!
Of course, cosmetics were among the gifts I bought for my family for Christmas. This year, I purchased a scrub and body mousse set. When choosing these care products, I was mainly guided by the fact that they should be ideally suited to the skin of the person I would be gifting. As usual, I searched for information about the cosmetics before purchasing them on wizaz.pl, where I can find out the opinions of women who have already tried the product and decide whether the cosmetic is worth the investment and well-matched to the skin type.
My annual problem – gifts. Since I’ve given the whole family all sorts of socks, scarves, ties and cufflinks, since everyone in the house has their own headphones, phones and mp3s, since I’ve missed out on book and clothing gifts a few times, I’ve switched to giving cosmetics. This is ALWAYS useful and brings genuine joy to the recipient every time. I also have a lot of leeway here. Each gift is carefully checked for properties, the skin it is aimed at, the price and even! the packaging. In addition to the fragrance, the perfume should also have some sort of cute flacon. I’ve learned that I buy creams and body care products for Mum and Dad, but if I choose fragrances, it’s only for people my own age – I know more or less their preferences and tastes. This year, Mum’s getting a mature skin kit, Dad’s going to get a battery of anti-redness products, Sister-oh, she’s got the best, because she’s got My Honey perfume. I’m planning to buy my brother an aftershave – he’s actually been getting the same one for a few years now:) And last but not least…a gift for me. I’ve had a bathtub in my flat for a month now and I’ve been passionately testing all sorts of bath salts, lotions and soaps. The scent spreads throughout the house! And it feels so…cosy, familiar….
This year I’ve already chosen presents for my family, I started choosing presents already at the end of October in order to save more for the Christmas expenses in December. These included cosmetics and perfumes, and I even managed to buy a face cream for the present on the day. In addition to the face cream, I decided to choose body butters and shower gels. I didn’t go by the age designation because I didn’t want anyone to accidentally feel bad, not everyone likes to reveal their age, so I preferred not to commit a faux pas, I was more concerned with the properties and the scents and the skin problems of people in my family, such as my mum, who has sensitive skin and a problem with capillaries. Some of the information I looked for online and some at the drugstore or pharmacy, depending on the product, other purchases were suggested by brands I trust and know that the family likes the product.
Oh yes the gift list is long overdue, also there is nothing left for me but to go shopping. The hardest thing, as it probably is for everyone, is to buy a gift for a guy. When it comes to cosmetic gifts, I do them a lot, because I know how everyone saves money and it’s a shame to spend it on creams… so for Christmas I buy a good cream for my mum, some shaving products for my dad, perfume for my sister and some sets for my brother. Before I buy a cream, I consult friends or a beautician, I very often go online to specialist portals – that’s how I know about the competition. Labels like 45, 50+ hmmm I don’t suggest them, it’s more the label for what skin type….
I start planning my Christmas shopping by observing or taking inspiration from my experiences. Unfortunately, I haven’t yet thrown myself into buying gifts. I always try to do it in advance but, like most treasure hunters, I end up putting it off until the week before Christmas Eve. I plan those seven days carefully. It is rare that I buy all the gifts at once. Most often, I dedicate a day to one of my loved ones. This way, I devote all my creative energy to choosing the most appropriate gift. In my tradition, Santa Claus is celebrated by the children, while the adults are given gifts together with the little ones on Christmas Eve. Most often, cosmetics and perfume go under my Christmas tree. This is a tradition among gifts. Most of my family members know their preferences. These are gifts that are sure to please everyone. They are practical, they look decent and they certainly won’t offend anyone. Women are most often gifted with skincare products for the face and body. In addition, I try to diversify my parcels with additional trinkets in the form of powders, pads or bath balls. Other accessories such as aromatherapy candles, massage props and essential oils also happen. The fairer sex is known to love spending long periods of time in the bathroom especially pampering themselves with a home spa. The men in my family prefer a quick shower. Out of respect, I never present classic beauty products such as shampoo, deodorant or soap. This can sometimes be misconceived or even offensive. When doing my Christmas shopping, I am always guided by age range. Particularly for ready-made gift sets, which usually include this information. I have to admit that this is my favourite type of gift. It looks nice, it’s easy to package and there happen to be interesting freebies. My parents are over 50, so for them I always choose products for mature skin. The younger generation requires less, so I absolutely buy moisturisers for them in their age range. I don’t know the needs or skin types of everyone in my family so I choose universal products. The hardest part is the price range. I usually spend around 100 zlotys on one gift. I try not to exceed this amount. I confirm each purchase, whether for my own needs or those of my loved ones, with the knowledge I have gained on the Internet. I browse forums, analyse opinions. I myself participate very actively in this group. It is often the case that the price does not go hand in hand with the performance of the product. When it comes to gifts, I am particularly interested in pleasing the recipient. I certainly don’t take advice from chemists or beauticians. I find them unreliable in this whole shopping frenzy. I get the impression that they don’t care about my satisfaction at all.
This year I plan to buy cosmetics as every year too. My dad always gets men’s perfume, which he uses all year round :). And every year a new one. My mum usually gets body care products e.g. lotions, scrubs, bath salts. My sister and I often buy each other face creams, usually new to the market. This way we try something new every year. When choosing creams for my sister, I always choose for dry and sensitive skin, because that’s what she has problems with. I usually look for information about cosmetics on the Internet. Then, over a coffee, I can calmly compare many products.
This year’s Christmas presents were quite varied, from clothes to jewellery to building tools 😉 However, there was also plenty of cosmetics and perfumes. As with every gift, the cosmetics were individually selected to suit the person, taking into account their age, preferences or skin type, for example – I can’t imagine giving someone a gift that doesn’t suit them. I read various opinions on internet forums for a long time before making a purchase, I also consulted a beautician friend and this is how I think I found the right gift. There is one rule I follow when it comes to gifts – I choose them with the care I want. I choose my gifts with the care I expect others to take when choosing gifts for me 🙂
I bought two bottles of perfume – one for my mum and one for my sister. When choosing them, I was guided by the age of the person. For my mum, I was looking for more serious, classic and elegant. I know that my mum doesn’t like suffocating and overly sweet fragrances. So I bought her a sophisticated chypre fragrance with notes of mandarin, rose oil and liquid amber. For my sister, on the other hand, I gave her an oriental fragrance with citrus notes, juicy berries and velvety rose petals and a scent of sandalwood. When looking for the perfect fragrances, I also used testers available in drugstores. I decided on these because I had previously read a lot about perfumes on various perfume blogs. I was also guided by the comments and opinions of people who had already bought them and had the opportunity to test them personally. So the main source of information in choosing a perfume was the Internet. Both gift recipients liked the perfume, so the search was worthwhile. A coloured lipstick for mum was purchased in a drugstore, in order to test the colour of the lipstick in person using testers. When buying from a catalogue or online, for example, the colour often differs from what is expected and then there is disappointment. I was looking for a lipstick that contained a protective filter, natural wax, valuable oils, vitamin E. I wanted it not only to give a nice colour, but also to nourish, nurture, regenerate, moisturise and protect my lips while giving them a beautiful colour. The shampoo was a gift for my dad and I bought it at the drugstore. I was guided by the properties of the shampoo in question, and I was interested in the anti-dandruff one. I had no problem buying this gift. I made the decision myself after reading the label on the back of the product.
The gift list has long since been made and the first gifts have already been bought. When I buy cosmetics as gifts, I am guided by the composition of the cosmetic and whether it is suitable for my skin type. I don’t suggest information such as 25+ cream, 30+ is no information for me… because someone who is aging prematurely will simply need an anti-wrinkle cream already at the age of 30. I don’t generally listen to beauticians, but I will occasionally ask a dermatologist what he or she thinks about a particular cream.
I, when looking for gifts for loved ones, plan to buy them as early as October/December. I do my research. In fact, for women I usually buy cosmetics most of the time. To the extended family, if I have no idea what skin type my aunt has, I actually suggest 40+, 50+ etc. To my closest family, my mum, my dad, I know what kind of skin they have and I choose cosmetics like that.
Lately I’ve been looking more and more for information about cosmetics on the Internet, I used to ask beauticians, but now the cosmetic market is so extensive that I prefer to do my own research on the Internet. For Christmas presents for the women in the family I do gifts of creams, make-up removal kits, but for the guys some cool fragrance.
I, like every year, don’t make presents for myself for Christmas, and instead of presents we make parcels for the orphanage with the whole family. We buy the little ones all sorts of things: clothes, toys, sweets, books. Sometimes we make a big gift together, for example a TV for the day-care centre at the orphanage. On the other hand, I can answer questions about what guides me when choosing creams. I look for information about cosmetics on the Internet before I buy them, and I also ask my dermatologist. I read the labels on the creams and when I buy a cream as a gift, e.g. for my name day, I look at the description, such as 50+, 40+, but I buy creams more according to the skin problem.
This year I focused on cosmetics for my husband. He is in his 40s now and I wanted to buy him some anti-wrinkle cream for his face. When choosing, I was guided by the purpose, the packaging and the price. My husband travels a lot and so I chose a cream in a tube.
When buying cosmetics for gifts, I take into account information about the potential recipient’s skin. So far, I have always bought cosmetics for my mother and for my sister. For my sister, as a rule, cosmetics for acne-prone skin and these were in particular: creams, toners, fluids, powders and washing gels. For my mum, on the other hand, I tried to buy cosmetics taking into account her needs. These were generally anti-wrinkle face and eye creams and hand creams.
I have a large family and cosmetics are a nice Christmas gift for them in my opinion. For my only grandmother, I bought a hand cream and a face cream (I managed to buy one for 70+ this year). For my mum and mother-in-law anti-wrinkle, wrinkle-filling eye creams. For my dad, a cream for men, also anti-wrinkle, and for my husband a perfume, as I had already bought him a cream. For further female relatives this year, I bought sets: bath gel + after-bath lotion.
This year I’m going to buy cosmetics for everyone, it always comes in handy. Under the Christmas tree my mum will find day and night creams and my dad will find aftershave lotion. I’ll buy my sister a make-up remover set because she paints herself a lot. When I buy facial preparations I go by the description online and on the label of the cream as I buy at the drugstore. I buy online more often – she avoids drugstores because it’s noisy and hard to concentrate. At home in front of the computer, I can calmly read about a particular cosmetic. I prefer to match the cream to my skincare needs – for example, to match the cream to my mother’s skin problem.
Ahh those Christmas presents. Sometimes they’re so off the mark, for example, I once got a CD that I’ve never listened to… But well, tradition is there, so I always try to buy something that will be useful to the other person and I usually buy cosmetics. When choosing facial products I go by the description on the cream as to what type of problem they are for. It’s quite inconvenient to buy a cream from an age range, because the age range doesn’t always go hand in hand with a particular condition….
I don’t make a list of presents I go with the flow and what kind. 24.12 is my tradition, I hit one gallery and I go crazy. The galleries on 24.12 are almost empty, the first sales appear. Also, what will I buy? The answer is I will find out on 24.12 But I will answer the questions in this great competition based on last year and my shopping habits in general. For me, online reviews and articles on various sites or company websites are important. I read about the composition and purpose for the skin type of the cosmetic. From hair shampoo to foot cream, I choose cosmetics according to my skin’s needs. I don’t buy creams designed for age, only for the skin problem. When it comes to shampoos, I buy the ones designed for my hair type. When it comes to body lotions, I also go by what type of skin. For myself, I generally buy two lotions, one for dry skin on my legs and one for stretch marks on my stomach.
Gifts for Christmas, this is something I like to do for loved ones. This year I’m going to buy everyone some skincare product. For my mum I’m planning to buy some facial care product designed for skin 50+ (I always suggest the age range), while for my sister I’ve envisaged some kind of specialist cream for problem skin – she has terrible acne. For my dad, I plan to buy some good cleanser for very sensitive skin. For my brother, I’m going to buy a cream for dry skin, as patches of skin are literally falling off his face. As you can see, when I’m buying cosmetics, I first consider the needs of the person in question, and then try to find the perfect product.
Gifts are my speciality. I really enjoy making surprises. Among the gifts I plan to buy are products for the face, body and for bathing and washing the hair. When I choose a cosmetic for a person, I first of all look and analyse what the person needs. If I don’t know someone very well, I buy cosmetics from an age range, this is very helpful.
Who doesn’t like getting gifts? I really like making presents and getting presents. Christmas is a super season for me. I make a list first and then do the shopping. My list mainly includes books for extended family and, for people closer to me, specialist cosmetics selected to suit the person’s needs. In order to choose a good product for the person, I read a lot about cosmetics in the women’s press, but mainly on the Internet.
The biggest expense – Christmas presents I cut back in such a simple way: instead of borrowing for super gear, you have to give to the people closest to you YOUR TIME – and…. nothing else. We baked gingerbread, we made cakes, baubles or chains, we walked around, we talked, remembering each other’s family spirits… With the work of your hands, without a lot of resources in your wallet, it is easy to make many people happy! But under the Christmas tree, there is always some nice and matching trinket. Some 50+ day and night cream for my mother, who is thriving despite her age, an aftershave set for my dad, because he uses them up at an insane rate…. Gifts that are small but well chosen, cleverly arranged with the lady in the shop. 😉 There is no trouble with this, because my parents have no problems with hypersensitive skin, so I can choose gifts with confidence and make my family happy all the time. 🙂
