Chantarelle acid treatment procedures

Chantarelle experts have developed procedures for performing a chemical peel with multi-layer applications – selected according to skin type and problem. By applying successive preparations with an increasingly lower pH, the risk of severe skin irritation is reduced while maintaining the high effectiveness of the treatment.

Preparing the skin for the treatment

The step of properly preparing the skin for a chemical peel is important for the treatment itself to be carried out correctly and for the best possible results. Failure to properly degrease the skin can result in uneven skin tone, the formation of spots and hyperpigmentation and a less effective treatment.

In treatments, we recommend using preparations for make-up removal and skin cleansing:

For certain skin types, there are also preparations used to more thoroughly cleanse, de-puff or degrease the skin:

• Ideal Pure antibacterial lotion to reduce the growth of pathogenic bacteria

Chemical peel stage

After a detailed skin diagnosis, an acid suitable for the skin type and problem and the intended treatment result is selected. The method of application and number of layers of peel are also selected. In multi-layer peels, we recommend the application of an acid mask (appropriate to the skin problem) as the first layer of treatment, followed by the application of further preparations, gradually lowering the pH of the skin.

The application of further preparations with acids (depending on the treatment) gives a very strong exfoliating effect:

• acid mask
• ampoule for sono- or iontophoresis
• selected type of acid (or its two successive concentrations)

Note: It is important to remember that the choice of acid strength and layers and timing depends on the skin condition and problem. Correct diagnosis is important.

Soothing and regeneration stage
