Soothing anti-redness mask for vascular skin prone to erythema and irritation.

The mask contains PHA acids 1.25%: lactobionic acid and gluconolactone, as well as vitamin C (SAP) and plant extracts. It has a strong shrinking effect on dilated capillaries and strengthens their walls and tightness. Reduces cell wall permeability. Reduces the sensation of heat, thanks to its cooling effect. Soothes irritation and reduces redness, restores a healthy and bright colour. Soothes and calms, restores the comfort of freshness. Strongly moisturises. Strengthens the protective system against aggressive external factors. Application of the mask by ultrasound or for direct massaging.

Most important active ingredients

✓ Lactobionic acid (PHA) – with mildly exfoliating action, without irritating properties. Actively reduces dilated capillaries and telangiectasias, stimulates skin renewal, prevents the formation of wrinkles. Is a natural antioxidant.

✓ Gluconolactone (PHA) – is a natural antioxidant that effectively fights free radicals and enhances the skin’s repair, defence and protection mechanisms against the effects of ultraviolet radiation and environmental pollutants. It has no irritant properties.

✓ Allantoin VC – a complex of ascorbic acid with allantoin. Combines the whitening, antioxidant and anti-ageing effects of vitamin C with the soothing and moisturising effects of allantoin. The complex protects against free radicals and UV damage, reduces the effects of photo-ageing and skin ageing.

✓ Ti-Rutin is an antioxidant flavonoid that strengthens blood vessels and prevents capillary breakage. It improves their elasticity and permeability and stimulates microcirculation. It reduces symptoms of inflammation and irritation, soothes and reduces the discomfort of tight skin.

✓ Plant extracts of horse chestnut, arnica montana, hamamelis, ivy, St. John’s wort, vine, bearberry and avocado oil and shea butter have a regenerative, anti-inflammatory and vascular strengthening effect.

Vascular skin (vascular)

Vascular (vascular) skin is one of the more difficult to care for. It is characterised by an increased susceptibility to external factors. It is very thin with a visible network of blood vessels, the so-called telangiectasia (couperose). Under the influence of negative stimuli (for example, atmospheric factors, stress, poor diet), the capillaries rapidly contract and dilate. This causes excessive reddening of the skin, in other words, the symptoms of erythema. These symptoms are initially temporary and the redness usually fades after a few minutes. Over time, however, it can develop into a permanent form. What is more, the thin-walled blood vessels often burst as a result of high blood pressure and permanent marks, so-called ‘spider veins’, appear on the skin. These are most often found on the cheeks, nose and décolleté. In addition, further inadequate care can lead to the development of rosacea as a consequence.

DESCRIPTION:

Lactobionic acid (PHA) – derived from naturally occurring lactose, with mildly exfoliating action, without irritating properties. Actively reduces dilated capillaries and telangiectasias, stimulates skin renewal, prevents the formation of wrinkles. Is a natural antioxidant. Enhances repair mechanisms (by stimulating collagen synthesis), provides protection against the effects of UV rays. It has a unique ability to bind water and form a protective layer on the surface of the skin, making the skin instantly smooth and soft. Can be used all year round.

Gluconolactone (PHA) – is formed naturally through the fermentation of corn grain or the oxidation of glucose. It is an important nutrient in the cell renewal process and a natural antioxidant that effectively fights free radicals and enhances the skin’s repair, defence and protection mechanisms against the effects of ultraviolet radiation and environmental pollutants. It is a powerful moisturiser, helping to maintain the skin’s normal natural hydration balance. It has no irritant properties.

Ti-Rutin – an antioxidant flavonoid strengthens blood vessels and prevents capillary breakage. It improves their elasticity and permeability. Stimulates microcirculation. Reduces symptoms of inflammation and irritation, soothes and reduces the discomfort of tight skin. Increases protection against the damaging effects of free radicals. It activates the cells of the defence system, reduces the synthesis of prostaglandins – mediators of inflammation. As a powerful antioxidant, it also has an anti-ageing effect.

Allantoin VC – a complex of ascorbic acid with allantoin. Combines the whitening, antioxidant and anti-ageing effects of vitamin C with the soothing and moisturising effects of allantoin. The complex protects against free radicals and UV damage, reduces the effects of photo-ageing and skin ageing. Thanks to vitamin C, it reduces the intensity of hyperpigmentation by inhibiting tyrosinase activity. It lightens skin tone and pigmented lesions due to oxidative damage. It is an active promoter of collagen synthesis and has a rejuvenating effect. Allantoin counteracts hypersensitivity and excessive reaction to the sun. It has antioxidant properties. Protects against free radicals, which are the cause of faster skin ageing.

Chestnut extract (Aesculus hippocastanum) – is an important ingredient in preparations against broken capillaries. It also has a mattifying effect on the skin and removes impurities. It has firming and UV-protective properties. It has anti-inflammatory and anti-oedematous effects while strengthening blood vessels.

Arnica montana extract (Arnica montana) – has a broad spectrum of action. Due to the flavonoids it contains, it has anti-inflammatory effects. It is used as an excellent remedy for the elimination of bruises and swellings. It also has a regenerative effect and soothes skin irritations. Arnica is most often used for skin with a tendency to dilate and burst blood vessels and for polluted oily skin.

Hamamelis extract (Hamamelis virginiana) – contains a mixture of tannins, organic acids (gallic, ellagic), flavonoids and saponins. It has strong regenerative, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and strong astringent effects. Soothes symptoms of irritation and redness. Improves blood supply to the skin.

Common ivy extract (Hedera helix) – contains health-promoting saponins and flavonoids. One of the main characteristics attributed to these compounds is their ability to reduce the permeability and increase the resistance of blood vessels. The extract also has anti-inflammatory and anti-irritant properties. Flavonoids have a protective effect and hederins have astringent and decongestant properties. It also has a mild antiseptic effect.

St John’s wort extract (Hypericum perforatum) – due to its tannins and phloroglucinol content, St. John’s wort has antibacterial, antiseptic and astringent properties, so it is also used in dermatology as a wound healing agent. It has a regenerative and soothing effect. Vine extract (Vitis vinifera), or grape extract, protects the skin against infections, irritation, oxidative stress and UV rays. It also has a regenerative effect on the skin, e.g. after intensive sunbathing or improper care. In addition, it improves skin tone and strongly moisturises the skin. Thanks to the presence of tannins, grape extracts make the skin more elastic, tighten and firm it. They also regulate sebum production, which makes them very suitable for oily and acne-prone skin. Due to their vitamin C content, they strengthen the walls of blood vessels, which is why they are used in cosmetics for vascular complexions.

Beanberry extract (arbutin, Arctostaphylos uva-ursi) – inhibits melanogenesis by reducing the activity of tyrosinase, the enzyme responsible for melanin production. As a result of this process, it inhibits the formation of hyperpigmentation.

Avocado Oil (Persea Gratissima Oil) – regenerating avocado oil with a very high content of triglycerides and natural vitamins A and E. Thanks to its soothing, moisturising and emollient properties, as well as its rapid penetration without leaving a sticky film – it is effective in rejuvenating treatment and prevents skin irritation.

Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii Butter) – is obtained from the seeds of the Vitellaria paradoxa (Parka butter) tree. It contains nourishing fatty substances, vitamins E and F and ingredients that protect the skin from UVB radiation. Forms a natural sunscreen and has antioxidant properties. Has a smoothing and soothing effect on irritation. Lightly lubricates the skin without leaving a greasy feeling. Has a protective effect on the intercellular cement, moisturises and regenerates the skin. Increases the cohesion of the epidermal cells, softens and improves the elasticity and colour of the skin.

Beeswax (Cera Alba) – has antibacterial, smoothing and moisturising effects. Thanks to its highly nourishing substances, it lubricates the skin and protects it from drying out. Products enriched with beeswax also help skin sores to heal faster.

Directions for use

Preparation to be introduced with ultrasound or stroking massage (avoiding the eye area). After 15 minutes from application, wash off the residue of the mask with water, tone the skin, apply the appropriate cream from the RED STOP Couperose line.
