DESCRIPTION:

Salicylic acid (BHA) – antibacterial and anti-inflammatory. Unclogs sebaceous ducts, clogged by unabsorbed sebum due to abnormal, excessive keratinisation of the hair follicle mouths. Thanks to its good fat solubility and penetrability through the sebum layer, it penetrates deep into the hair follicles, facilitates sebum drainage and reduces its accumulation inside the sebaceous glands. As a result, it reduces blackheads and signs of inflammation, and reduces the formation of new ones. It also regulates skin cell renewal, has an exfoliating effect by loosening intercellular connections and removes layers of dead keratinised epidermal cells. Salicylic acid does not have drying properties and is also effective in cleansing dry, polluted skin with numerous blackheads.

Gluconolactone (PHA) – is formed naturally by the fermentation of corn grain or the oxidation of glucose. It is an important nutrient in the cell renewal process and a natural antioxidant that effectively fights free radicals and enhances the skin’s repair, defence and protection mechanisms against the effects of ultraviolet radiation and environmental pollutants. It is a powerful moisturiser, helping to maintain the skin’s normal natural hydration balance. It has no irritant properties.

Purepore – is extracted from the Barosma betulina plant. Reduces and balances excessive sebum secretion and reduces the number, diameter and size of pores. It mattifies oily skin and provides a uniform and radiant appearance. It is an excellent active ingredient for oily skin with enlarged pores. Studies have confirmed a reduction in sebum production of up to 42% and a reduction in the number of pores of up to 24%, while a reduction in pore size and diameter of up to 20%. Purepore is obtained from the leaves of Barosma betulina. It is a cosmetic active substance that inhibits APN in the membrane of sebocytes, blocking their stimulation induced by peptides. This triggers a series of cascade reactions inside the cell reaching the nucleus. The effect of this complex mechanism of action is to inhibit differentiation and, thus, reduce the amount of sebum excreted by the cells. By reducing the final amount of sebum on the skin’s surface, all symptoms of oily skin are improved – large and visible pores are reduced, shiny areas are faded, the skin loses its oily and glowing appearance and feel. After using Purepore, 90 per cent of respondents found their skin to be less shiny, 75 per cent noticed a reduction in pores, 90 per cent found their skin to be less oily and 90 per cent of volunteers rated the overall appearance of their skin better.

Ramisebum – a liposome anti-acne complex with zinc PCA, which regulates sebum secretion, and copper PCA, which counteracts collagen degradation and acne scarring. The complex also contains normalising, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory extracts of white willow, liquorice, calendula and violet tricolour. Zinc actively counteracts excessive sebum production and regulates sebum secretion. It has an antibacterial, drying and astringent effect, inhibiting the growth of bacteria responsible for the development of acne and the formation of inflammation. Combination of zinc with pyrrolidinecarboxylic acid (a component of the natural moisturising factor NMF) – increases bioavailability and activity. Copper is essential for the synthesis of collagen fibres. The use of copper in the complex counteracts collagen degradation and the formation of acne scars. Combination with natural moisturising factor found in the skin – increases bioavailability and activity.

Extract of greater burdock (Arctium lappa) – is a particularly useful and potent antibacterial agent against the Staphylococcus strain. The good results obtained in reducing the symptoms characteristic of acne-prone skin and some varieties of eczema, confirm its antiseptic properties. It regulates sebum secretion and also has emollient, anti-ageing and anti-inflammatory effects. Combats free radicals.

Sage extract (Salvia officinalis) – purifying with antiseptic, astringent and antioxidant properties. Has anti-inflammatory and anti-irritant properties. Regulates sebum secretion. Strengthens blood vessels – inhibits micro-bleeding from excessively dilated or damaged capillaries.

Common Lemon Extract (Citrus limonum Risso) – has excellent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. It is also a very important source of vitamins, mainly vitamin C (ascorbic acid), present in the fruit. It also contains lemon oil, which is particularly effective for oily skin – it eliminates excess sebum and blackheads. It also has a brightening effect on skin discolouration.

Common ivy extract (Hedera helix) – contains health-promoting saponins and flavonoids. One of the main characteristics attributed to these compounds is their ability to reduce the permeability and increase the resistance of blood vessels. The extract also has anti-inflammatory and anti-irritant properties. Flavonoids have a protective effect and hederins have astringent and decongestant properties. It also has a mild antiseptic effect.

Saponaria extract (Saponaria officinalis) – natural saponins with vitalizing effects, have a mild cleansing, decongestant and anti-inflammatory effect, which helps to combat excessive sebum secretion.

Fucus vesiculosus extract (Fucus vesiculosus) – affects the metabolism of fats in the cells by reducing their production in the sebaceous glands. It has moisturising properties and helps to combat moisture loss. The antioxidant potential of hake extract and the antioxidant action of brown algae have also been demonstrated. This action may help to treat inflammatory processes.

Watercress extract (Nasturtium officinale) – considered a purifying plant due to its astringent, cleansing action. It also has remineralising and tonic properties. Watercress also has anti-inflammatory effects and improves blood circulation in the skin.

Alanthoin (provitamin A) – counteracts hypersensitivity and excessive reaction to the sun. It has antioxidant properties. Protects against free radicals, which are the cause of faster skin ageing.

Vitamin E (Tocopheryl acetate) – known as the ‘vitamin of youth.’ It is responsible for the formation of epidermal cells, inhibits the skin’s ageing process and restores its balance. Protects against harmful UV radiation, prevents strong oxidation of lipids in the skin. It counteracts the release of free radicals, helps maintain the elasticity of the skin and thus prevents skin ageing and the formation of wrinkles.

Avocado Oil (Persea Gratissima Oil) – regenerating avocado oil with a very high content of triglycerides and natural vitamins A and E. Thanks to its soothing, moisturising and emollient properties, as well as its rapid penetration without leaving a sticky film – it is effective in rejuvenating treatment and prevents skin irritation.

Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii Butter) – is obtained from the seeds of the Vitellaria paradoxa (Parka butter) tree. It contains nourishing fatty substances, vitamins E and F and ingredients that protect the skin from UVB radiation. Forms a natural sunscreen and has antioxidant properties. Has a smoothing and soothing effect on irritation. Lightly lubricates the skin without leaving a greasy feeling. Has a protective effect on the intercellular cement, moisturises and regenerates the skin. Increases the cohesion of the epidermal cells, softens and improves the elasticity and colour of the skin.
