Neutraliser for mandelic acid 40% pH 1.5 restoring the correct pH of the skin.

Essential preparation for neutralising the action of mandelic acid, restoring the correct pH of the skin. Contains plant extracts of sea fennel and hamamelis. Has an antibacterial, anti-seborrhoeic and soothing effect.

Indications for mandelic acid:

mixed skin requiring restoration of water-lipid balance
dry skin in need of hydration
seborrhoeic skin requiring normalisation of sebum secretion

Almond acid – more information

✓ Mandelic acid is an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) found in nature in bitter almonds. It exhibits a mild exfoliating action, even though its potency is slightly greater than that of glycolic acid. This is due to the slightly larger size of its molecule, as well as its greater affinity for the skin’s lipid barrier. The penetration of mandelic acid into the skin is gradual, but effective and easily controlled.

✓ It therefore has a mild exfoliating effect, and its beneficial effects on the skin are the reduction of signs of photo-ageing and uneven pigmentation, the levelling of acne symptoms and wrinkles.

✓ It has also been shown to have antibacterial effects on such bacterial strains as Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus proteus, Escherichia coli and Aerobacter aerogenes.

✓ Studies have confirmed the effect of mandelic acid on regulation of sebum secretion. Mandelic acid causes pigmentation lightening and is an agent used in peels for skin pigmentation disorders.

✓ Mandelic acid has a superficial action and acts on the outer layers of the epidermis. The mechanism of repair action includes stimulation of fibroblasts for increased synthesis of collagen, elastin and glycosaminoglycans.

Active ingredients

DESCRIPTION:

Alanthoin (provitamin A) – counteracts hypersensitivity and over-reaction to the sun. Has antioxidant properties. Protects against free radicals, which are the cause of faster skin ageing.

Hamamelis extract (Hamamelis virginiana) – contains a mixture of tannins, organic acids (gallic, ellagic), flavonoids and saponins. It has strong regenerative, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and strong astringent effects. Soothes symptoms of irritation and redness. Improves blood supply to the skin.

Sea Fennel extract (Sea Fennel), also known as sea squill (Crithmum maritimum) – is rich in flavonoids, vitamins and mineral salts. It has antioxidant, oxygenating and anti-inflammatory effects. Stimulates the proliferation and differentiation of epidermal cells. It regenerates the skin, stimulates collagen and ceramide synthesis, strengthens the integrity of the epidermal barrier and firms the skin.

Directions for use

According to the procedure of the treatment – after the application of mandelic acid 40% apply neutralizer in a thin layer and spread it evenly over the skin surface, leave it for 5 minutes, wash off with water and tone.
