DESCRIPTION:

Vitamin C (SAP) – rejuvenating, anti-radical, whitening. Has a stimulating effect on skin elasticity and firmness, by significantly improving the quality of the connection between the epidermis and the papillary layer, and rebuilds the skin’s structure and functionality. It is an active promoter of collagen synthesis, strengthens the skin’s structure and rebuilds the collagen matrix. It has a brightening, whitening, depigmenting effect. It is a strong inhibitor of tyrosinase activity and inhibits melanin synthesis. Reduces the intensity of pigmented lesions, spots and discolouration. Neutralises free radicals and increases antioxidant protection. Reduces damage and irritation caused by exposure to UV radiation and strengthens the skin’s protective capacity against its harmful effects. It also strengthens capillaries. Vitamin C (SAP – Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate) – is a stable form of vitamin C with very high antimicrobial activity.

Allantoin VC – a complex of ascorbic acid with allantoin. Combines the whitening, antioxidant and anti-ageing effects of vitamin C with the soothing and moisturising effects of allantoin. The complex protects against free radicals and UV damage, reduces the effects of photo-ageing and skin ageing. Thanks to vitamin C, it reduces the intensity of hyperpigmentation by inhibiting tyrosinase activity. It lightens skin tone and pigmented lesions due to oxidative damage. It is an active promoter of collagen synthesis and has a rejuvenating effect. Allantoin counteracts hypersensitivity and excessive reaction to the sun. It has antioxidant properties. Protects against free radicals, which are the cause of faster skin ageing.

Ferulic acid – found naturally in grains such as rice, corn, wheat and rye, is a powerful antioxidant, nullifies free radicals that cause cell damage and accelerated skin ageing. It rebuilds the skin matrix, stimulates collagen and elastin synthesis, and effectively moisturises. It also has an anti-inflammatory effect. It has a photoprotective effect, enhancing the natural protection against UV radiation – it has the ability to absorb radiation in the full UVA and UVB range, up to the high ultraviolet 450nm. Prevents the formation of and reduces hyperpigmentation. Can be used all year round with adequate sun protection, has no irritating properties, also recommended for sensitive skin.

Blue bio-retinol – a plant equivalent of retinol. Extracted from specific unique blue endemic microalgae (of the Cyanophyta group) growing in the waters of Klamath Lake located at 1,300 m above sea level in southern Oregon. Extracts from this micro-organism, known as ‘blue retinol’, show retinoid-like effects without side effects. The effects of this action are the reduction of wrinkles and smoothing of the skin. It is characterised by a very high content of proteins, lipids and liposaccharides, vitamins – especially B vitamins, amino acids and specific pigments that give the extract its original blue colour. Blue retinol, like retinol, influences the differentiation of keratinocytes towards smoothing and increasing the density of the epidermis, but does not cause any negative effects due to the accumulation of retinol in the tissues.

Beanberry extract (Arctostaphylos uva-ursi) – inhibits melanogenesis by reducing the activity of tyrosinase, the enzyme responsible for melanin production. As a result of this process, it inhibits the formation of hyperpigmentation.

Amla extract (Emblica officinalis) is extracted from the Indian gooseberry. Due to its valuable properties, it is widely used in medicine, as it has antibacterial and antiviral effects. The raw material, which originates from India, is used in cosmetics, mainly as a rejuvenating agent and to remove skin discolouration. The extract has a beneficial effect on the skin: it brightens the skin and removes minor skin blemishes. Thanks to its high vitamin C content, it neutralises free radicals and delays the ageing process.

Ricinous oil (Ricinus communis oil) Contains 85% ricinoleic acid, oleic acid, stearic acid and linoleic acid. Applied externally to the skin, it has a smoothing, regenerating and protective effect. Prevents loss of epidermal moisture. Soothes irritations, softens and makes the skin more elastic.

Vitamin E (Tocopheryl acetate) – known as the “vitamin of youth. It is responsible for the formation of epidermal cells, inhibits the skin’s ageing process and restores its balance. Protects against harmful UV radiation, prevents strong oxidation of lipids in the skin. It counteracts the release of free radicals, helps maintain the elasticity of the skin and thus prevents skin ageing and the formation of wrinkles.

Shea butter (Butyrospermum Parkii Butter) – obtained from the seeds of the Vitellaria paradoxa (Parka butter) tree. It contains nourishing fatty substances, vitamins E and F and ingredients that protect the skin from UVB radiation. Forms a natural sunscreen and has antioxidant properties. Has a smoothing and soothing effect on irritation. Lightly lubricates the skin without leaving a greasy feeling. Has a protective effect on the intercellular cement, moisturises and regenerates the skin. Increases the cohesion of the epidermal cells, softens and improves the elasticity and colour of the skin.

Alanthoin (provitamin A) – counteracts hypersensitivity and excessive reaction to the sun. It has antioxidant properties. Protects against free radicals, which are the cause of faster skin ageing.

Beeswax (Cera Alba) – has antibacterial, smoothing and moisturising effects. Thanks to its highly nourishing substances, it lubricates the skin and protects it from drying out. Products enriched with beeswax also help skin sores to heal faster.
