The Vitamin D Promoter PDT laser treatment stimulates vitamin D synthesis in the skin.

Stimulates vitamin D synthesis in the skin by stimulating the activity of the VDR receptor, the amount of which decreases with chronological ageing and in the absence of sufficient sun exposure.

The treatment is designed for all skin types – with signs of ageing dry, rough, with wrinkles, with loss of proper density and elasticity. The treatment is particularly recommended in the absence or insufficient exposure of the skin to the sun.

Vitamin D

Vitamin D is responsible for differentiation, keratinisation and the natural exfoliation process, thus accelerating the skin’s regeneration process and, in particular, strengthening the skin’s protective barrier against moisture loss.

Directly, vitamin D deficiency in the skin manifests itself in a significant decrease in the skin’s barrier function, including in particular an increase in transepidermal water loss and an accelerated effect on the ageing of human keratinocytes – a disturbed and delayed differentiation, keratinisation and exfoliation process of the epidermis: the skin becomes dry, rough, with wrinkles, and loses its proper density and elasticity.

In Western Blot studies conducted on young and aged human keratinocytes, the active ingredient showed similar effects to calcitriol, the active form of vitamin D. Similarly, gene expression studies (keratinocyte differentiation for markers KLF4, cytokeratin 1, involucrin, cystatin E/M, KLK5) performed by quantitative PCR performed on human aged keratinocytes also confirmed this type of concordance in effects with calcitriol.

✓ Vitamin D Booster – a polysaccharide fraction of oligofructosans extracted from chicory root. “The sunshine vitamin”, as vitamin D is often referred to, plays an important role in maintaining the phosphate-calcium homeostasis of the human body and skin. Unfortunately, the synthesis of this vitamin by the skin, as well as the activity of its receptor (VDR), are both reduced by the passage of time and by lack of or insufficient exposure to sunlight. This leads to a weakening of the skin’s barrier function. Vitamin D Booster, acting in a manner analogous to vitamin D, restores vitamin D receptor (VDR) function, stimulates the molecular network involved in keratinocyte differentiation, and accelerates skin barrier regeneration.

Extract of sea buckthorn (Hippophae Rhamnoides) – rich in vitamin C. Its content is usually 2-3 times higher than that of blackcurrant fruit. Sea-buckthorn fruit contains almost 200 active substances, including other vitamins (A, E, F, K, P, B12), flavonoids, tannins, anthocyanins, macro- and microelements. It has a multidirectional effect on the skin, delays the ageing process and stimulates the epidermis regeneration process. Protects the skin against free radicals and reduces their activity. Soothes irritations, inflammations, eczema and skin changes caused by allergic reactions. Provides the skin with an appropriate level of hydration. Improves skin tone and lightens discolouration. Helps alleviate acne lesions and strengthens blood vessels.

Chestnut extract (Aesculus hippocastanum)- is an important ingredient in preparations against broken capillaries. It also has a mattifying effect on the skin and removes impurities. It has firming and UV-protective properties. It has anti-inflammatory and anti-oedematous effects while strengthening blood vessels.

Rosa rose oil (Rosa Moschata Oil), also known as musk rose, is rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids, trans-retinoic acid, tannins, flavonoids, vitamin C and beta-carotene. Due to its composition, it has a natural ability to protect against photo-ageing and repairs the effects of UV exposure – smoothing wrinkles, reducing the amount and intensity of pigment spots.

Corn Oil (Zea mays Oil) a valuable plant product contains large amounts of unsaturated fatty acids (contains about 60% linoleic acid), a lot of tocopherols (vitamin E). Thanks to its unsaturated acid content, the emollient improves the epidermal barrier, reduces the risk of hyperpigmentation and normalises the skin’s keratinisation processes.

Vitamin A (Retinol Palmitate) – has a protective and regenerative effect on the epidermis, soothes inflammation, and is responsible for the growth and maturation of epithelial cells.

Vitamin E (Tocopheryl acetate) – known as the “vitamin of youth. It is responsible for the formation of epidermal cells, inhibits the skin’s ageing process and restores its balance. Protects against harmful UV radiation, prevents strong oxidation of lipids in the skin. It counteracts the release of free radicals, helps maintain the elasticity of the skin and thus prevents skin ageing and the formation of wrinkles.

Vitamin B₅ (Calcium Pantothenate) – activates metabolic processes, has a soothing and calming effect, reduces redness. Activates epidermal cell division, accelerating healing and soothing irritation, moisturises and softens the epidermis. It improves the structure of the epidermis, has a shielding effect, stimulates epithelial formation, has an anti-inflammatory effect, improves and increases the moisture content of the skin – dry skin becomes smooth and supple.

Vitamin B₇ (biotin, vitamin H) – its correct concentration in the body determines the healthy appearance of the skin, hair and nails. This is due to the sulphur molecules in the vitamin, which regulate the activity of the sebaceous and sweat glands. Due to its similar chemical structure to the urea molecule, similar moisturising properties are observed.

Inositol (Inositol) – a plant component, mainly extracted from the hulls of cereal grains. It has an anti-ageing effect. Blocks the tyrosinase process, which prevents melanin formation and hyperpigmentation. Prevents blood vessels from bursting and causes so-called ‘spider veins’ to hide. Natural antioxidant.

Alanthoin (provitamin A) – counteracts hypersensitivity and overreaction to the sun. Has antioxidant properties. Protects against free radicals, which are the cause of faster skin ageing.
