Pyruvic peeling 55% pH 1.5 is a preparation for exfoliation treatment. It regulates the sebaceous glands, clears pores, lightens spots and discolouration and intensively rejuvenates, firms, smooths wrinkles and furrows and reduces scars.

What does science say about pyruvic acid?

✓ Pyruvic acid is a substance used in the treatment of acne as well as hyperpigmentation, scarring and acne keratosis, and the removal of warts.

✓ The effectiveness of pyruvic acid is due to its relatively high potency (pKa=2.49) and small particle size. Consequently, these characteristics, together with the use of different formulations and the timing and pattern of application, allow the acid’s action to vary. It can exhibit action in both the epidermis and the dermis.

✓ Scientific studies show the effective action of 50% pyruvic acid on skin with photodamage. Researchers from the Universities of Florence and Aquila and Rome have demonstrated epidermal abrasion with increased biosynthesis of collagen, elastin and glycoproteins. A decrease or removal of pigmented lesions was observed. Moreover, the erythema that appeared was short-lived and the discomfort was negligible.

DESCRIPTION:

Pyruvic acid (AKA) – found in fermented apples, vinegar and honey. Application of this acid results in penetration at the level of the papillary layer of the dermis. This is a fairly deep cleansing action. At the epidermal level, on the other hand, the acid has an anti-epidermal effect and brightens the skin. In addition, it inhibits excess sebum secretion, has an antibacterial effect, reduces wrinkles, improves the elasticity and tone of the skin, lightens discolouration, evens out skin tone and gives the skin a radiant complexion.

Almond Acid (AHA) – alpha-hydroxy acid obtained through hydrolysis of bitter almond extract, recommended for all skin types, even sensitive and irritated skin. It exhibits strong moisturising and antibacterial effects with a gentle exfoliating action. Regulates cell renewal, improves skin texture and colour, softens and smoothes. Reduces fine lines and scars, stimulates the synthesis of elastic fibres, strengthens elasticity. At the same time, it cleanses the skin and regulates sebum secretion. Unblocks and unclogs sebaceous secretion channels. Has an antibacterial and anti-irritant effect. Lightens discolouration and improves skin tone. It is effective in rejuvenating treatments and in eliminating photo-pigmentation.

Glycolic acid (AHA) – stimulates the work of living cells of the epidermis, stimulates fibroplasts and the synthesis of collagen and elastin. It normalises the keratinisation processes of the epidermis and unclogs the follicle outlets, thus preventing the first non-inflammatory symptoms of acne. Glycolic acid also has other, very wide-ranging applications: it eliminates wrinkles, discolouration, scars, keratosis disorders, makes the skin more elastic and firm, evens out its colour.

Directions for use

In accordance with the treatment procedure.
In all phases of treatment protect eyes, do not apply to mucous membranes. Follow the general peeling regimen with the use of SPECIAL AESTHETICS peri-treatment preparations for make-up removal, soothing and regenerating preparations, finishing creams with a high UVA/UVB filter.
