Two hundred people took part in the “Skin care and protection in the summer” competition by Chantarelle and the CzasNaZmiane.pl portal – thank you very much! We asked you to provide your ways to protect and care for your skin during hot weather….. Below are some of the contributions.
As befits a guy, I love her skin. It delights me with its healthy tone and natural glow, but unfortunately…well…. Sometimes the complexion gets grey and loses its apathetic tones. What do I do then? I always tell her the truth, so I once jokingly asked her if she would prefer a job as a model or a ‘man in an iron mask’? Then she broke through and started to take care of herself. After that, it only got better… At first she focused on the basics: proper diet and sleep, and then she started using home remedies: she hydrated (after all, a grey complexion is a sign that the skin needs water) and reached for creams with strong moisturising vitamins C, B5 and E (to stimulate micro-circulation), and she liked masks (e.g. fruit ones). Sometimes she played Cleopatra – washing her face with milk and using honey as a scrub. And she added colour, with a beta-carotene supplement, which gradually caused her complexion to take on a nice colour. And in addition, to regain her former radiance, she stimulated her cells by applying a facial massage, after which her complexion looked extremely fresh. She also took exceptional care of the skin around her eyes. She pampered her eyelids with cucumber slices (thus eliminating puffiness and signs of fatigue), cold compresses with a metal spoon and pieces of tomato (thus neutralising redness and discolouration). Once she got her skin in order, she used a refreshing shower to stimulate her body. During the hot weather, she drank mint tea and mineral water containing sodium, which retains water in the body and so reduces thirst somewhat. And finally, make-up – she reached for high sun protection and chose a protective sunscreen, then experimented with bronzing powder, which gave her complexion a “sun-kissed skin” effect and allowed her to contour her face. And, wanting to maintain a fresh, healthy glow and the right level of hydration, she put mattifying blotting papers and thermal water in her bag to refresh. Now, as she stands in front of me, I mirror her joy as I see her enjoying having a gorgeous face! She has tackled her dark circles and grey facial skin, although I know it would have been easier if she had the wonderful Chantarelle cellular regeneration products for the face and eye area. I have to admit, though, that I’m still proud of her! Sincerely, her Mirror.
My body recently told me so: “- I like these chats we have – when I give you subtle, at first tentative signals, and you catch them on the fly…. I admit that you sometimes misread the signals, or worse, don’t read them at all, and as punishment I can then give you a pimple, or a fold of fat here and there, or a few stretch marks, can’t I? But tell me yourself, how can you get out of the sea and not rinse off the biting salt? Or fall asleep on a sun lounger? Go to bed wearing make-up? Ok, I return the honour, after all, you’ve never done that. Actually, I know… There’s nothing to complain about. You only wear natural fabrics, no polyesters or anything like that…. You love cool showers and scrubs…. Massages (yes, yes, I know – those His hands, I can’t do without them for too long either…), body butters, moisturising lotions and those hectolitres of water with lemon and chilled tea with mint. You’re kind, gentle (out of politeness, I won’t mention what it’s like to shave your calves without glasses), you like a pleasant scent and softness – just like me. You succumb to temptation, especially walking between the cosmetics shelves, you watch me carefully, you care, and I might even say…. you pamper me. You know how damaging UVA rays are to the skin, as well as UVB rays. You’ve coded in your head that they damage DNA, leading to cancer cells, so you protect me from the sun, use sunscreen and wear sunglasses (so you don’t get “crow’s feet”). You also take care of my lips – you protect my delicate lips with sunscreen to prevent inflammation or cracked skin. You don’t overload my skin with cosmetics, using a subtle bronzing powder instead of clogging, heavy foundations. You also protect your head with an airy hat or baseball cap. No surprise there, right! After all, you and I are the best team in the world, and we need to support and help each other. I forgive you for forgetting your foot cream and you forgive me for reacting too violently to the August sun… I like you for the cosmetic treasures you don’t begrudge me and for these moments of well-deserved relaxation. And now I’m going to ask for my daily dose of this wonderful Chantarelle moisturising and rejuvenating cream from the LA AQUA cream SPF20 UVA/UVB line and let me go for a well-deserved rest…” – What’s the takeaway from this? The key is to talk, and the best way to have a beautiful body and effective protection during the hot weather is to live in harmony with it and listen to what it has to say!
My way of minimising the problems associated with being in high atmospheric temperatures is to look for the pleasant ones. If the situation warrants it, I try to stay in my flat or work building during the midday hours. In my spare time, I stock up on mineral water and baskets of fruit, which I empty without restraint in a couple of hours. Once I’ve got my thirst under control, it’s time to emerge from the walls of the building, of course taking the appropriate headgear with me: a helmet or a stylish light hat, which on sunny days becomes my Superhero and saves me from the sun’s rays. To be sure of my safety, I pull out an ace from my sleeve-filter creams, the MUST HAVE of the season. It’s fashionable to have a tan and sun-kissed skin, but I’m unscrupulous about indulging or spreading it out on advice so that in 10 years’ time I won’t be struggling with disease, skin cancer or inflexible skin. It’s my choice, and I prefer a healthy and smooth body!
During hot weather, I moisturise my skin properly with a 20 SPF sunscreen. If my skin is exposed to the sun for a long period of time, I use a sunscreen with a higher protection factor, e.g. from 30 SPF, and apply it every 3 hours. I also apply a lipstick with a sunscreen on my lips. I drink plenty of still mineral water. I use moisturising masks frequently. I avoid excess salt and spicy foods.
1) To refresh my body and skin during the day, I take 2-minute cold showers to make our skin extra firm.
2) I drink a lot of water because even if we take care of our skin with the best beauty products and our diet is lame and we don’t provide enough water, our skin will not look healthy.
3. I love using cooling body scrubs, which cool the body and skin long after the shower. (…)
4) I don’t use heavy make-up or fluid because it would probably run off with the sweat. Instead, I apply a thicker layer of moisturiser that contains sunscreen.
5) Mattifying blotting papers are also a great option.
6) After a lot of sun, my pores open up to the point where you can see the impurities in them – I absolutely use clays, which are perfect for cleansing these little malignant holes 🙂
7. I catch vitamin D, but in reasonable quantities, bearing in mind that my body is always protected by appropriate cosmetics with filters.
PS. Vitamin D aids weight loss, so let’s not avoid the sun on hot days! :)))
Recipe for a SWEET BABKA
– handful of cooling lotion
– a pinch of sunscreen
– a dab of moisturising lipstick
– one pint of soothing sensation mist
– a full swimming costume your sun-kissed cake is practically ready!
– sprinkle with a high protection filter,
– then soak up the deep sun 🙂
On hot days I go back to nature and rely on flowers and floral oils! In the summer, once a week, usually at the weekend, my friends and I meet at one of our weekend home spas where we choose from nature what is best for our skin. We usually start our meetings with a “vegetable” – but that’s the only vegetable at our beauty appointments – we start with a cooling and relaxing cucumber mask – but that’s only when cucumbers appear in our home gardens. Such a cold cucumber compress brings relief and gives us energy for our next home experiments. We often prepare a mask with rose petal oil to smooth and moisturise heat-weary skin. We mix the oil with a tablespoon of honey, and of course the honey comes from the apiary of a beekeeper. We get the best out of the mask in July with fresh lime honey. The scent is wonderful – rose oil and honey – honey not only for the skin, but also for the soul:) Another oil in our kit is manuka oil, which we also discovered through manuka honey that one of us received as a gift. We add the oil to the aforementioned rose-honey mask and use this cosmetic when we feel our skin is very dehydrated, which unfortunately sometimes happens after a day at the beach. We remember to wash off the masks with lukewarm water and lemon juice, which will add even more radiance to the complexion. During our appointments, we also don’t forget about the beneficial calendula, which is great for regenerating the skin. We pick calendula in the garden, but we always have a supply of dried petals from last year too. We use calendula as an infusion – pour 2 tablespoons of petals and flowers in boiling water, cool, add a tablespoon of potato flour and apply to the face and neck for 15 minutes. It really is a wonderful relaxation for the skin. Immediately you feel that your skin is ‘relaxed’, but finally to a spa, even though homemade:) One friend also prepares calendula oil in autumn by pouring oil over the flower petals in a jar. After straining it through gauze, it makes an excellent body lotion – each of us gets a small jar from her so that we can rub our heat-stricken bodies after bathing in the comfort of our homes and bathrooms.) You can really see the effects! I would also like to mention my favourite flower – lavender, which refreshes the body, especially after a day in the sun. My girlfriends and I use lavender oil as an ingredient for a refreshing scrub. We mix a few drops of the oil with a few tablespoons of sugar and a teaspoon of olive oil. Usually such a scrub is prepared by one of us also gifting the other friends to try the scrub in the evening after a bath by rubbing the body with calendula oil. I also recommend and confirm that the skin is cleansed and ready for the nourishing action of the next specifications. I could write a lot about my beloved floral oils. I am very fond of cosmetics made on their basis, because, apart from their health benefits, they are a wonderful aromatherapy session:
The summer heat is quite a challenge for all those who love the sun, but also for those who try to avoid it as much as possible. Unfortunately, it is impossible to protect our skin completely from the sun’s strong rays in hot weather. We all dream of beautiful, smooth, delicate skin on our bodies and faces, just like on the covers of magazines – everything is possible, you just have to prepare your skin for harmful external factors such as, for example, strong UVA/UVB rays. Half an hour before leaving the house on a sunny day (not only on a hot day), I thoroughly cleanse my face – first I wash my face with cold water, then I cleanse my skin with a delicate face gel with scrubbing particles. When my skin is refreshed, I move on to the most important step – I apply a face cream with a high protection factor, e.g. SPF 30, adapted to my skin type – sensitive and prone to irritation. When applying the cream to my face, I do not “rub” it in, but gently pat it in with my fingertips in a circular motion. Only after half an hour, as befits a woman, do I apply my make-up – a light make-up without any heavy foundations, just loose powder mascara and I can go out into the sunshine beaming with joy 🙂
I recommend for skin care in hot weather – cucumber milk (mixed 1 cucumber squeezed from juice, 1 tablespoon of flour, 1 tablespoon of milk and a teaspoon of body lotion applied on the face and rubbed to the end:) ) has a fantastic refreshing effect and in addition, moisturises and cleanses the skin – an energy bomb for the face 🙂 In addition, I also recommend using a green tea, chamomile and mint tonic (brewing green tea leaves, mint and chamomile baskets, soaking in cotton wool and placing them on your face). After such treatments, the face is brightened, hydrated and radiant. In addition – drinking plenty of mineral water to hydrate the skin from the inside and mint tea, which lowers the body heat a little. A light face cream with filters is a must, use of mattifying blotting sheets for those with oily skin. For refreshment, spraying your face with thermal water every now and then 🙂 As a final point, I recommend smiling at least a couple of times a day – there is no better way to beauty and great skin than a daily dose of smiles 🙂
During hot weather I always follow two inseparable rules. Firstly, I avoid the sun or at least from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. I cover my head and wear airy clothes. Secondly, I moisturise my skin by using moisturising creams, necessarily with a minimum of 15 sunscreen.
The skin needs to be especially protected from the sun in summer, and because I love summer – and my skin – I can’t imagine sunbathing without sunscreen. The best choice is, of course, a cream with a sunscreen of 50+, which will be suitable under make-up, will not be greasy and will be absorbed very quickly. The cream should moisturise the skin and give a feeling of full protection from the sun’s rays. The same goes for body lotion, it should have a high sunscreen, preferably 50+. To protect your skin and body, avoid being out in the sun between 11am and 3pm as this is when the sun is strongest, hide in the shade then. On holiday I always wear a hat on my head, ideal to protect my skin, hair and eyes from the sun. Skincare in summer is also demanding – I use a 50+ sunscreen during the day, while at night I think it’s important to give the skin plenty of valuable moisturising ingredients, with a wealth of vitamins and nutrients. Our face in the morning will be radiant, supple, perfectly moisturised and ready for another sunny day. In the summer I also use moisturising, nourishing body lotions (especially at night).
I always try to keep my skin fresh, clean and, above all, properly moisturised. I spend a lot of time out in the field, also on hot days I always use sunscreen. I never put on a lot of make-up on hot days, a light powder and mascara is the basis. Whenever I spend time at home, I try not to put on make-up and let my skin breathe. I also try to do a facial scrub and mask at least once a week 😉
My Protection and skincare during hot weather 😉
– of course it’s important for me to moisturise my skin during hot weather, and to use cosmetics that contain a sunscreen!
– on my lips I use a lipstick with a sunscreen!
– every 2 days I try to apply moisturising and regenerating masks to my face
– I drink plenty of water to keep my skin hydrated from the inside
– my diet is rich in vitamins, minerals and nutrients:)
– I do not wear make-up in hot weather
– I let my skin rest:)
– I carry mattifying blotting papers with me to get rid of excess perspiration:)
– try to avoid being in the sun when it’s too hot – take a refreshing shower every morning:) with a fresh-smelling gel:)
– I lubricate my body with a cooling lotion:) – a compulsory antiperspirant to keep me fresh:)
– face cream must be mattifying:)
– I carry a mist with me and during hot weather I spray myself with it;)
– to freshen up I use thermal water:)
– I wear breathable clothes to keep my skin comfortable!
On summer days I take the same care of my skin as I do during the year, I use creams with higher UVA and UVB filters. The sun’s rays unfortunately damage the skin when we expose it to radiation for too long. I moisturise my skin accordingly.
During warm days, I try to keep my skin well moisturised with a cream, a cool water wash or a micellar lotion. I especially try to make sure I moisturise adequately.
I take care of my skin every day because I only have one! So I go to the beautician, always open the door there. I also use the right cosmetics because I want my skin to be to keep my skin healthy.
During hot weather I always have to take extra care of my skin. I have combination skin, so it is prone to shine, with imperfections and, in addition, dryness on the cheeks. I only use tried and tested, safe, soap-free cleansers and make-up removers that do not damage my skin’s hydrolipidic film. Once a week, I use a green clay mask, which is great for cleansing and tightening pores, and a scrub to remove dead cells. I use thermal water every day to soothe my skin when it gets too dry or irritated. I use a lightweight moisturising and mattifying cream-gel under my make-up for the day, and a more substantial moisturiser or imperfection-fighting cream at night depending on the state of my skin at the time. I never leave the house without a high sunscreen, usually in the form of a light fluid. In a nutshell, my skincare regime in hot weather is all about moisturising to prevent dryness, but not allowing the skin to become oily, cleansing thoroughly and sun protection.
Skin care in summer
– plenty of water to moisturise the body from within
– sleep in ideal proportions – well-sourced food
– face protection from the intense sun
– hat, cap
– sunglasses
– sunscreens with a protection factor of at least SPF 20
– Hydration of the skin from the outside
– thermal waters and highly moisturising creams
– Good mood and positive thoughts
– daydreaming brightens up the face on the outside
– we expect fulfilment and victory
During hot weather, our skin needs special protection. Here are my rules to follow during these hot days:
1). I take a refreshing shower in the morning – this stimulates my body. At the end, I lightly wipe myself with a towel, not rubbing hard, but not to heat up my body.
2) I drink plenty of water, which has a positive effect on our skin.
3) I don’t use foundation or fluid, I only pat in a mattifying cream to stop my skin sweating and shining.
4). to refresh my body, I use thermal water to spray. This makes the epidermis more hydrated and smooth.
5) When I expose my skin to the sun, I use a sunscreen that contains at least 15 SPF before going out.
6) I don’t forget to apply a protective lipstick.
7). I use hydrating and revitalising masks on my face.
8). mattifying blotting papers – a great friend of mine to quickly collect excess oil. I always have them in my handbag.
9) I avoid all chemical peels, laser treatments during this period.
10) Before sunbathing, I don’t use perfume, which can irritate my skin. 1
11). I avoid exposing my skin between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
12) My diet is rich in beta-carotene and vitamin A.
13) I use special cooling lotions after sunbathing.
14. I simply enjoy the beautiful sun, but everything is done in moderation!
During hot weather I make sure my skin is properly moisturised (creams), I try to provide my body with as many vitamins as possible – in the form of dietary supplements, oils (e.g. flax and coconut oil), seeds, nuts as well as fruit and vegetables. I also drink infusions of herbs. (Nettle, lavender, horsetail, flaxseed) In hot weather I try to avoid heavy make-up so that my skin can breathe freely, if I am forced to then it is very light. During the day I drink about 3 litres of water to keep my body and skin hydrated. I also use sunscreens to protect my skin and try to avoid very strong sun.
My recipe for beautiful skin during hot weather: I start my day with a shower, alternating between lukewarm and cold water. I feel very refreshed afterwards. After washing, I apply moisturising lotions all over my body. I don’t forget to apply a moisturising cream to my face During hot weather, I don’t make up at all, or choose to wear light make-up. I use antiperspirant and a light perfume. I drink a lot (3 litres of water). I also drink refreshing drinks, for example water with lime and mint. If I go out in the sun, I use UV sunscreen If I can, I avoid going out in the sun between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. I wear loose, airy clothes, such as dresses At night, I apply moisturising face masks
During hot weather, I use lighter cosmetics, do not apply powder, use thermal water spray, cosmetics with sunscreen and wear a straw hat to further protect my skin from the sun’s rays.
*Task:* Effective ways to take care of your skin in the summer.
*Objective:* A beautiful body like no other! 😉
*Implementation:* A few homemade tricks, because summer is just moments away.
1). *Carrot oil *- it would never have occurred to me that there is an oil pressed from carrots in the world! Rapeseed, olives, sunflower – I can understand. But carrots! But it turned out that it does exist and – what’s more – it is one of the most wonderful cosmetics I would have ever known. First of all, it is a natural self-tanner! And it’s one that doesn’t smell, but gives the effect of wonderfully golden skin. Perfect in summer for people who, like me, hate long sunbaths. Apart from that, carrot oil has another great benefit – it’s perfect for dry, ageing skin. I use it as a body lotion and after just a few weeks I’ve noticed that my skin has become tighter, hydrated, firmer and, of course, bronzed.
2) *Cosmetic petroleum jelly* – this is a patent from my grandmother, who was an insanely practical person and liked multi-purpose cosmetics. Thanks to her, I got to know Vaseline and learnt to use it as an excellent lip balm (to deal with parched summer lips in one night), hand cream (at night under foil gloves – it strongly regenerates even the driest hands) and… an excellent hair smoothing product! Just spread a little Vaseline on the dry ends of your hair for a nice look.
3). a *homemade normalising and refreshing tonic* – an easy and inexpensive product for the hot summer. This is my patent for skincare in summer. I take a glass of mineral water, into which I squeeze ¼ of a lemon. I throw in a few leaves of fresh mint and set it aside in the fridge overnight. In the morning, I take the leaves out, pour the liquid into a spray bottle and use it as a great ‘refresher’ for the face and body. *Recommended! In the summer, when the great weather and atmosphere are to be enjoyed – skincare should be kept to an absolute minimum. My ways are enough to have a beautiful and truly holiday body. But! I never, ever forget a high UV sunscreen when I’m out in the sun. 🙂
On holiday I try to protect my skin 100% from the sun. When it’s 12 o’clock I try not to lie out in the sun, because that’s when you can do the most damage to yourself. I take my sunglasses and flippers and go diving in the sea, admiring the underwater world. In the water, you are not so exposed to strokes or other unpleasantness. I always wear a hat on my head, although with the amount of hair I have, the sun is unable to penetrate it. I never forget my big black sunglasses with UV filter, as I really enjoy wearing them. I always use SPF 50+ cream on my nose and SPF 20+ on the rest of my body, of course it has to be waterproof! I also protect my lips with SPF 50+ lipstick, as it would be very difficult to get them back to normal afterwards. The most important thing I do is to seal ugly-looking moles with a patch or apply SPF 50+ cream and not expose them to the sun, because I could do myself a lot of harm if I’m not careful. I also don’t use any perfume before sunbathing because it often irritates my skin.
My way to protect and care for my skin in hot weather: The most important thing, not only for the skin but also for my whole body, is to drink water in larger quantities than usual. In addition, I use a high UVA/UVB sunscreen to spare my skin the dubious pleasure of a sunburn, because I’ll still get a little – healthy tan. I avoid sudden temperature changes e.g. sun-warmed skin and me in the sea at 19 degrees. I also like to spray a mist of mineral water on my face – a nice cool down. I don’t forget a moisturiser at the end of the day. So simple, even trivially obvious and yet pleasant and quite effective.
Hello, my way of protecting my facial skin is with a 50 sunscreen (different companies, dermocosmetics only). However, if I don’t have my face covered in addition to the cream – a brimmed hat or a baseball cap – blemishes still appear. The sun is merciless. That’s why it’s better to cover your face and use make-up products, i.e. foundation or highlighter, as a sun-brush, than to have wrinkles and discolouration at your own request.
Care and protection: these are areas – where, especially in summer – you need to act comprehensively. It is not enough to apply a cream with even the highest sunscreen available if the skin is deprived of hydration from within. It is also not enough to drink even five litres of water a day if we do not support our natural barrier with cosmetics and preparations suitable for it. I try to take care of my skin comprehensively, and not only in summer and not only in hot weather. I use creams with a very high sun protection factor (currently factor 65), remembering to apply them at least 15 minutes before going out in the sun. It is important to remember that summer and hot weather are not all the adversities our skin has to face. Air conditioning and high humidity also have a negative effect on the skin, drying it out in no time. But I have a remedy for this too. I apply a highly moisturising cream every morning and evening and once a week (depending on my tastes) I apply a homemade moisturising mask made of strawberries, mango or apple. And, of course, I always remember water, which is, after all, life and the recipe for firmness and beauty in our skin.
Hot weather is a difficult time for my dry skin. I try to moisturise it well with a gentle emulsion and I also spray it with thermal water. I use SOS masks to moisturise. At night I use a serum to work on my skin and improve its condition overnight. Of course, cosmetics with good filters and avoidance of the sun is essential. My skin is already 40+VAT, so regularity and good care is important.
During the summer and hot weather, I take even more care of my skin than usual. And so I moisturise it with lotions every day, I apply sunscreen before every time I go in. I also take care to protect my moles and not expose myself to the open sun between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. When I am in the sun, I moisturise my skin with a mist. I protect my scalp with a hat because I know how important it is not to get strokes. I also keep cooling creams in my make-up bag so that I can react quickly if I get sunburn. I also exfoliate my skin from time to time to remove dead skin, and I apply a cleansing and moisturising mask. In general, I try to look after it as well as I can.
Unfortunately, my love for the sun is unrequited. Because my skin is covered with birthmarks and moles, I can’t bask in the sun as long as I’d like. My health is more important to me than a nice tanned complexion. So when the sun starts to shine I protect my skin with sunscreen. It is good that there is such a wide range of cosmetics to help me do this.
A strong moisturising cream is a must, but the best is thermal water spray – sensational! And the best thing about it is that you can put on make-up and nothing will happen 🙂
My ways of protecting and caring for my skin during the hot weather are mainly using heavily moisturising creams at night and containing UVA/UVB filters for the day. Apart from that I nourish and hydrate my skin from the inside by drinking a lot of about 2 litres of mineral water a day and eating a lot of seasonal fruit and vegetables. Mainly strawberries, grapes and tomatoes, spinach and carrots are good sources of beauty because they contain antioxidants.
My way of caring for my skin during hot weather is to protect myself from the sun and not overload my skin. By protecting, I mean using sunscreen not only on the beach, but also on a daily basis under make-up. And by not overloading, I mean applying as few cosmetics as possible with as light a texture as possible. This is especially important for skin like mine, which is combination and prone to oiliness. It is also worth remembering to moisturise by using hydrating masks and serums. During hot weather, I have to take extra care of my skin and protect it from the sun’s harmful rays. And all this is because I have recently been suffering from a specific disease that has only an aesthetic effect – actually a defect…. It is acquired vitiligo. White patches appear on my skin, devoid of pigment. So far I have discovered them on my body, but since last year they have also been on my face: in the corners of my mouth and around my eyes. As a disease that has not been fully researched, vitiligo is governed by trial and error – so at first I used 50+ sunscreens from the chemist’s, for the time being I avoid direct exposure to the sun during “peak hours” and use foundations with filters, but not so high ;> Living “in the dark” has caused me to have a serious vitamin D deficiency. My normal skin care routine in the summer, independent of vitiligo, is to wash my skin with a gentle non-alcoholic toner – in the evening, and if I am not wearing make-up, also during the day, to refresh and cleanse my skin of sweat, pollen, pollution. If I do use creams, they are only light, moisturising creams – and at the same time not forming a thick, greasy layer. These are mainly mattifying creams. In extremely hot weather, I like to use gentle water mists with which I spray my face to feel pleasantly cool. For daytime, my make-up is just a mattifying cream; possibly dermatological, gentle skin toning cosmetics or BB creams. It’s only when I go out that I apply more complex make-up to hide my increasingly visible spots….
My summer make-up…(that’s where I’ll start, because you have to pay special attention to your complexion when it’s parched outside): Hmm, let’s say I’m at the seaside:). Of course when I go to the beach I don’t make up at all, just sun cream(with UVA and UVB filter). In the evening when I go for some “saks” I don’t use any fluid just a moisturiser. Depending on my tan, I apply on my face ( chin, nose- a good powder); we can gently pink up the cheeks. Lips on some sharper summer colour. This season a strong shade of red or orange is king. Nails in a similar shade to your lips, to make sure everything goes well with your evening outfit. A little tip- it’s important that your eye make-up matches your beauty type, complexion, eye and hair colour. I try to make my summer make-up so that it’s not too outlandish, even vulgar. It should highlight the assets of the beauty, be very subtle and subdued to accentuate a fresh and natural look.
First of all, I try to drink at least 1.5 litres of mineral water a day. Water with water, but don’t forget products that contain vitamin A and zinc. I apply a moisturising lotion to my body every day after my evening toilette, and before going into the “arms of Morpheus”, I pat a night moisturising and regenerating cream into my face. After bathing, I sometimes lubricate my body with a beautician’s oil, the baby kind. From skin, hair and nails( to strengthen) I take a dietary supplement. You can also “ingest” capsules with vegetable and animal oils, rich in unsaturated fatty acids. I apply a flaxseed mask once a week. I think that by mostly following the above-mentioned procedures, we will soon be very positively surprised with the effect, especially when 21 June “strikes” on the calendar clock and the astronomical summer begins. Lotions, good creams and oils with filters and care preparations and of course…. be careful with the sun!)
My tried and tested way to care for and protect my skin during hot weather is not complicated at all, but it does require consistency in action. I can’t be pushy because women’s skin is delicate, so you need to use your home treatments with care and sensitivity. Ideally, the cream I use in summer contains a UVA filter in it to protect my face from excessive sun. This helps to keep my complexion in excellent condition not only in summer but also in winter. On top of this, I try to remember to eat vitamins, it’s especially important for me to include vitamin C, A or E in the formulation, which are beneficial for the hydration and firmness of my skin. It is important to avoid long, hot baths, contact with detergents, excessive overheating or wearing clothes made of plastic. I use special moisturising creams that have plant oils, ceramides, proteins, glycerine and urea in their composition. This ensures that my skin is well-protected and protected from harmful external factors. Lotion is a must. Not once a week, but regularly and consistently morning and evening. Without softening and moisturising my skin, I can’t function normally, if only because of depilation, which irritates my skin. I always check the composition of the skincare products I buy. I rely on D-panthenol and allantoin, which are responsible for regulating the skin’s water balance while making it firmer. That’s why I stressed at the very beginning of my speech that the way is perhaps easy and even obvious, but it requires consistency in action and commitment. One must always remember to properly moisturise the skin during the summer to keep it in perfect condition, especially as the season that has just arrived and is made for unveiling beautiful, shapely, feminine body parts. 🙂
The holidays are the perfect time for romance, so why not fall in love this year too, but this time with…yourself? “I am a woman” is such an acronym…and it means: “I have a lot on my mind, I’m constantly in a rush somewhere and I always want to look glamorous, but I don’t always have the time”. And yet, skin is a woman’s best business card. Even before a word comes out of our mouths, it will already tell the whole world who we are, where we come from and where we are going, it will show our memories and reveal our dreams…. That is why there is no holiday from taking care of your skin, even on holiday, and especially on holiday, especially in summer…. In summer I have, paradoxically, even less time to be beautiful than usual, maybe because my children also have holidays…? Yes, that’s probably the point. So when I get out of bed in the morning, and I always try to do it with my right foot, I quickly reach for my mineral water bottle with my hand and take a few sips (an action I repeat systematically throughout the day). Beauty comes from within, I remember this, so in addition to fluids, I also provide my skin with delicious vitamins in the form of delicious meals – I simply nourish it well. As soon as I get out of bed, as I mentioned before, I head to the bathroom where I cleanse and then treat my skin with moisturisers and UV filters – after all, the sun is supposed to rejuvenate, not add years. The day passes, and my skin and I become increasingly tired – so when the longed-for evening comes, the romantic twilight sets in, we are both ready to breathe a sigh of relief…. After all, the night is for resting the body and the spirit. That’s why, starting with the former, every evening I first remove all traces of the day gone by: I take a warm bath or a cold shower, wash off my make-up. Afterwards, it’s all about indulging my senses: velvety, fragrant lotions for my skin, which I often want to taste, and oils in magical colours. I pay most attention to the delicate skin on my face and neck: I gently tap in sera, miracle-working conditioners, dedicated nourishing, firming and anti-wrinkle products…. I also have my own secret little natural rituals and now I’m going to tell you my secret – every now and then I sneak olive oil from the kitchen, smuggle it into the bathroom and gently rub it into the skin there… Sometimes I also use it as a scrub in combination with coffee – I recommend it because it moisturises, regenerates and rejuvenates the skin… My evening skincare ritual also includes…a good book before bed, a few compliments from my husband, which invariably make me smile, and goodnight kisses from the children – because true beauty comes from within…. Finally – a good, deep sleep.
My tried and tested way to care for my skin in summer, is to use light cosmetics with UV filters. I get rid of any toners that contain substances that over-dry the skin, replacing them with micellar lotions. I use lightweight moisturisers for my skin type and thermal water, which provides my skin with the right minerals, nourishment and hydration throughout the day, while also fixing my make-up. I take care of my skin in summer not only from the outside, but also from the inside by supplying it with the right amount of water and fresh fruit.
I am a person who avoids sunbathing because I am very aware of how negatively the sun affects the skin. Therefore, for me, the basic rule of summer care is sun protection for both skin and hair. Every day, I lubricate my face, neck and exposed parts of my body with a sunscreen with a factor of min. 30 SPF. I use special sunscreen sprays for my hair. For bathing, I use special two-phase preparations with olive oil. This prevents the skin from drying out. In the evening, I necessarily apply creams with panthenol, allantoin, aloe vera and sea buckthorn extracts, as well as vitamins A, C and E to soothe and regenerate the skin. I steer clear of self-tanners, which sometimes dry out my skin. Instead, I love bronzing body butters with walnut extract. The sun dries out the skin, so my favourite algae masks, which are brilliant for moisturising the skin, are indispensable for me in summer. I’m also a huge fan of homemade beauty products, and so I make homemade fruit masks. These are masks where the base is yoghurt and I alternate adding strawberries, currants, apricots. I also love to moisturise my face with a homemade tonic, which is a decoction made by soaking fresh cucumbers in buttermilk for 24 hours. It’s amazing at brightening blemishes and smoothing the complexion. In the greatest heat, it gives my skin a break from heavy foundations and powders. All I need here, of course, in addition to a high SPF 30 sunscreen, is a gentle BB cream to even out my complexion. I don’t forget about my hands and feet either. I prepare baths for them in a mixture of olive oil, argan oil and coconut oil. Then I apply a thick layer of vitamin A ointment and on top of that cotton gloves and socks at night. Finally, I have to say that summer is the season when I love taking care of my skin the most. There are so many delicious, sweet-smelling, fruity cosmetics in the drugstores then that I am glad to be a woman:)!
During hot weather, I choose creams containing UV filters to protect my skin from hyperpigmentation, sun sensitisation and rapid ageing. In summer, I forgo hot baths and wash my body in the shower. I invest in good moisturising and nourishing cosmetics. I mainly look for antioxidants and vitamins in creams. My diet is rich in fruit and vegetables containing vitamins A, E and C and omega-3 acids, and I try to use homemade masks made from seasonal fruit and vegetables to moisturise and refresh my skin.
I try to drink up to 2 to 2.5 litres of fluids every day, in order to give my body the water it needs to build up my skin’s protective layer of lipid mantle, i.e. I try to hydrate my skin from the inside out. Women who drink little fluids run the risk of their skin being more rough and dry. It is also important that, depending on the type of work I do every day and where I do it, I apply the right amount of nutrient-rich sunscreen. I try to moisturise the areas on my skin that are dry with oil. Anyway, I have a beautician friend who I go to regularly and I am very happy with her. She will always advise me on the right cosmetics for my skin. This helps a lot. That’s why I recommend cosmetics containing fruit acids. At my age, I try to use anti-wrinkle creams with a richer, nourishing composition. I have come to the conclusion that any cream or lotion needs time. In conversations with my female friends, I have noticed that they get discouraged too quickly because they expect cosmetics to have visible results right away. It takes time to convince yourself of the right cosmetics. Many women do not realise that cosmetics alone will not solve their skin problems. Diet is very important and should provide the skin with B vitamins, vitamins A, C and E, omega-3 fatty acids, iodine, iron, selenium and minerals, especially copper. The truth is that I try to eat healthily, meaning that my menu is rich in vegetables, fruit and all vitamins. Ladies, don’t overdo it with meat, sweets or fatty foods of any kind. Why not? Getting in shape makes our skin stretch and then it looks nasty. Fat needs space and its visual effects are pretty bad for the skin. Excessive physical work always puts the skin to the test, so I always remember to give my skin adequate rest. Especially in summer, I try to be careful not to overdo it with the amount of sun. When I go to the lake in the summer I use creams with a stable sunscreen, with a fairly high factor. After discussions with my beautician, who is for me such a guru in these “matters”, I have completely given up the solarium. Unfortunately, dear ladies, this is the easiest way to ruin your skin. No more of this invention! It doesn’t help, but rather harms, and after time your skin will resemble the skin of a roast rotisserie chicken more than that of a healthy woman. As the years go by and wrinkles start to appear, it is worthwhile to undergo anti-wrinkle treatments in cosmetic or dermatological surgeries. With my health, but also the appearance of my skin in mind, I gave up smoking completely and try to drink as little alcohol as possible. After time, I have noticed big positive changes. I also try to stress as little as possible, i.e. I try to lead a rather structured life. I try to do sport. I do a lot of running and cycling. Without movement, there is no way to have healthy looking skin. I also try to remember that stress is bad for the skin, so I try to control myself not to be explosive for any reason. These details I mention may seem trivial and unimportant at first glance, but they really can, when accumulated, completely change the appearance of our skin. I try to get more sleep. This is when our body rests and with it our skin. I try to spend a lot of time outdoors, although I don’t overdo being in the sun itself, especially during peak sunlight hours. I recommend that women sometimes sit down in front of the mirror and look at their face. This is important because we can then see our tendency to wrinkle particular parts of our face. If we allow this to happen, after a while permanent wrinkles will appear and the skin will no longer be smooth but undulating and ugly. That’s why I try to look at my facial expressions from time to time, because even creasing my eyebrows can make my skin look old after a while. I don’t want to let that happen! I recommend drinking green tea first thing in the morning. It really doesn’t take up much of our time, and it can make us get rid of radicals and make our skin healthy and beautiful. Finally, let’s not forget to smile, which will make the appearance of our skin seem more attractive to another person’s eye! Say hello!
The most important thing is to moisturise the skin properly. The cream should be adapted to your skin type (oily, combination, dry). It should be light in texture, i.e. low in fat, and absorbed quickly. If you are going to spend the day at the beach, the cream must have a higher protection factor (SPF 30 or higher) and should be applied every two hours. If you are going to be in the water most of the time, it is a good idea to use waterproof cosmetics. A lipstick (also containing sun protection) should be applied to the lips. Sunscreen should also be applied when the sun is not shining strongly. The skin can also be moisturised by means of masks, which should be applied after 9 p.m. (absorption of nutrients is greatest). Masks also make it much easier for the skin to regenerate. It is important to drink at least 2 litres of water every day. You should also include a large variety of fruit and vegetables in your diet. Avoid excess salt and spicy food. Make-up for summer should be light and natural. Ideal for summer make-up are compact fluids, which have a delicate texture and do not require the application of powder. An essential should be mattifying blotting papers. The blotting papers give the skin a fresh look and collect excess sebum. In addition, I suggest a mist of thermal water. To complete the make-up, you can apply waterproof mascara.
To protect my skin from UV rays, I use beta carotene tablets and creams with UVA/UVB filters daily. I also try not to sunbathe, as UV radiation makes the skin age faster and deep wrinkles are visible on the skin. Thanks to these three golden rules, there is no visible discolouration or wrinkles on my skin despite the passage of time.
