Fruit season is in full swing! Fruit is not only a very important component of a healthy diet, but also a very valuable source of active ingredients used in cosmetics.
Extracts, oils or macerates are obtained from the fruit. These are very valuable due to their natural content of vitamins, minerals and many other compounds. The seeds (e.g. grapes), pulp (e.g. avocados), juice or extraction of the most valuable components from different parts at the same time are used for this purpose. Depending on which property of the selected fruit we want to exploit, we subject it to a suitable chemical process so as to obtain the substance in question, e.g. aqueous extract, glycol extract, glycerine extract. Modern methods make it possible to extract multiple valuable ingredients simultaneously while maintaining microbiological purity. Does an extract extract extracted chemically from an apple, for example, retain the valuable properties of the fruit eaten? Yes, apple extract is undoubtedly a very valuable derivative that can be used in many cosmetic preparations. Through the use of specific accompanying raw materials, the effect of the obtained substance can be strengthened or weakened. Cosmetics with fruit extracts are much-loved by us regardless of the season. The scent of fruit accompanying a cosmetic additionally creates a very pleasant aromatherapy experience. The aroma of bananas, strawberries, forest fruits and citrus fruits, among others, has been used in treatment masks.
