Rosacea – dermocosmetics that help? Of course it is possible to significantly improve the condition of skin with this condition. Therefore, we always choose dermocosmetics specifically designed for skin prone to rosacea. It is sometimes suggested that dermocosmetics for allergic, sensitive or atopic dermatitis skin are just as good. Not every dermocosmetic is suitable for rosacea-prone skin.
Indeed, the skin affected is often extremely sensitive, but this does not mean that you should use dermocosmetics labelled “for sensitive skin”. With rosacea, this may simply not be enough. In addition, modern dermatology and cosmetology have tested active ingredients specifically for rosacea. So why not take advantage of this? Here is a short list of rules to follow when dealing with rosacea:
Rosacea – dermocosmetics that support delicate skin:
-
Choose dermocosmetics that are alcohol-free and fragrance-free, without parabens and silicones, in the case of good brands you can also choose those without preservatives (with antibacterial ingredients),
-
Avoid soaps and removers that have an alkaline pH and those with astringent properties
-
Certainly test new dermocosmetics on a small patch of skin before applying them to your entire face and neck
-
Wash your face with lukewarm water only, avoid hot and very cold water
-
Do not choose scrubs that are coarse-grained, do not use dermocosmetics along with brushes, massagers and sponges
-
Use gentle wipes, paper towels, not towels to dry skin
-
Always choose dermocosmetics with SPF filters
-
Never use dermocosmetics that are past their expiry date, weighed down, have a suspicious smell, take particular care with packaging hygiene, do not leave them open
The rules for rosacea-prone skin seem simple, but it is not always easy to achieve a satisfactory result. Remember to take care of your diet too, and don’t use irritating washing powders. Also try to stress less, if possible of course, in a world where everything happens at the speed of light. For me, this advice has always made me nervous, because after all, it’s not easy to stop stressing all of a sudden. Similarly, the skin also gets stressed. But about that in another post, coming soon to our blog.
