Niacinamide and GABA are the two most important active ingredients in Boost-Cream. Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B₃ with the characteristics of a powerful antioxidant, which has a broad rejuvenating and strengthening effect on skin function and condition. GABA – gamma-aminobutyric acid is a neuroactive rejuvenating ingredient for immediate and long-lasting wrinkle reduction and collagen renewal, hydration and skin barrier. Other active ingredients include brightening Mela-Ginseng – Korean ginseng extract, Vitamin D Booster, Vecticell C – encapsulated vitamin C complex, vitamin E and allantoin. Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3 (an amide derivative) with the characteristics of a powerful antioxidant – it has an effective and widespread rejuvenating effect and enhances skin function and condition. It is a precursor of the youth molecule NAD+, which is essential for the production of cellular energy and proper mitochondrial function. Vitamin D Booster – a polysaccharide fraction of oligofructosans extracted from chicory root. “The sunshine vitamin”, as vitamin D is often referred to, plays an important role in maintaining the phosphate-calcium homeostasis of the human body and skin. Unfortunately, the synthesis of this vitamin by the skin, as well as the activity of its receptor (VDR), are both reduced by the passage of time and by lack of or insufficient exposure to sunlight. This leads to a weakening of the skin’s barrier function. Vitamin D Booster, acting in a manner analogous to vitamin D, restores vitamin D receptor (VDR) function, stimulates the molecular network involved in keratinocyte differentiation, and accelerates skin barrier regeneration.
Vitamin C (SAP – Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate) – a highly stable vitamin C derivative is metabolised in more than 95% to ascorbic acid in the skin after only 2 minutes, which further penetrates into the deeper skin layers. Thanks to its properties of inhibiting melanin synthesis and acting against free radicals, it helps to protect the skin from photodamage for a beautiful and healthy appearance. It is a powerful antioxidant and free radical scavenger. It improves skin firmness, stimulates collagen production, reduces the appearance of age spots and visibly evens out skin tone.
Vitamin E (Tocopheryl acetate) – known as the “vitamin of youth. It is responsible for the formation of epidermal cells, inhibits the skin’s ageing process and restores its balance. Protects against harmful UV radiation, prevents strong oxidation of lipids in the skin. It counteracts the release of free radicals, helps maintain the elasticity of the skin and thus prevents skin ageing and the formation of wrinkles.
Alanthoin (provitamin A) – counteracts hypersensitivity and excessive reaction to the sun. Has antioxidant properties. Protects against free radicals.
Marine collagen with a triple helix – has excellent moisturising effects. Increases the skin’s protection against external damage, particularly from UV sun exposure.
Marine elastin – stimulates the synthesis of new elastic fibres. It nourishes the skin, enhances elasticity and reduces wrinkles.
Marine Glycogen – increases cellular energy for regeneration, oxygenates and revitalises. Restores the energy reserves of the cells, repairs micro-damage.
Honey extract – contains polysaccharides, amino acids, lactic acid and urea to enhance water retention and hydration.
Multimolecular hyaluronic acid 1MDa – forms a protective film, increases moisture reserves, reduces transepidermal water loss (TEWL, Trans Epidermal Water Loss). Protects the skin from dryness and adverse effects of external factors. Gives an immediate sense of proper skin tone and elasticity. Strengthens the network of collagen and elastin fibres, smoothes wrinkles.
Extract of quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa) – an exotic plant known as the rice of the Incas. It contains proteins, carbohydrates, unsaturated fats, omega-3 fatty acids and vitamins. It strongly moisturises and regenerates. Increases anti-radical protection, inhibits the ageing process. Improves skin elasticity, reduces sensitivity to sunlight.
Borage extract (Borago officinalis) – the mucilaginous substances present in borage create a characteristic film on the stratum corneum, which helps regulate water loss and maintain skin hydration. Meanwhile, the organic acids contained in the extract enhance the keratinisation process. Borage extract is also rich in antioxidants, making it ideal for mature and sensitive skin. Another cosmetic use of borage is to strengthen blood vessels and tighten the skin. It also has anti-inflammatory and soothing-regulating properties that are effective in the treatment of dermatoses.
Shea butter (Butyrospermum Parkii Butter) – obtained from the seeds of the Vitellaria paradoxa (Parka butter) tree. It contains nourishing fatty substances, vitamins E and F and ingredients that protect the skin from UVB radiation. Forms a natural sunscreen and has antioxidant properties. Has a smoothing and soothing effect on irritation. Lightly lubricates the skin without leaving a greasy feeling. Has a protective effect on the intercellular cement, moisturises and regenerates the skin. Increases the cohesion of the epidermal cells, softens and improves the elasticity and colour of the skin.
Infra DNA-Renover – a combination of Caesalpinia spinosa tannins and sunflower germ extract. Gives special antioxidant protection against IR, especially IR-A, and HEV blue light. Blocks the formation of free radicals under the influence of IR and blue light. Protects mitochondrial DNA and inhibits photo-ageing. Protects the skin from loss of density due to sun exposure and from urban pollution.
UVA/UVB filters – stable high filters to protect against harmful UV rays.
Directions for use
Apply a small amount of cream to face and neck, avoiding the eye area. Leave until absorbed.
Note: After application of preparations with GABA acid, you may feel a slight tingling sensation, which subsides after a few minutes.
