Spring! A new season – new skincare rules. In springtheir skin is often grey, tired, without energy after the long autumn and winter months. Mostly harmed by rapid changes in ambient temperature from cold and humid to hot and dry in air-conditioned rooms. In addition, in winter we usually have a diet poor invitaminsand micronutrientsand we lead a low-activelifestyle. And in spring each of uswant to enjoy healthy and radiant skin. Prwe present our cosmetic TOP 5 active ingredients for ideal spring care.
Niacinamide
Dryness, dullness, acne, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation – niacinamide is able to improve the skin in almost every skin problem. This makes it an ideal ingredient in any skincare regimen. Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B₃. It is essential for skin health as it acts as a precursor to two important coenzymes that help cells to nourish themselves. It also protects the skin from harmful external factors, activates metabolic processes and stimulates blood circulation. It is particularly valued for its strong antioxidant, regenerative and anti-inflammatory properties.
Antioxidants
How is oxidative stress induced? Free radicals with an unpaired electron ‘stick’ to other molecules and thus start the oxidation process in cells. Oxidative stress causes premature ageing of the skin and the development of various chronic dermatological diseases. Antioxidants, on the other hand, neutralise the attack of free radicals and prevent them from oxidising in the cells. They do not accumulate in the skin, they are constantly consumed and we need them on an ongoing basis. Chantarelle cosmetics contain intelligent ‘antioxidant systems’, such as the active ingredient Nisinoxid. They regenerate cells, improve the skin’s resistance, reduce the appearance of wrinkles and maintain firmness and elasticity.
Vitamin C
We associate vitamin C with citrus fruits, which are very beneficial to our health and usually have the golden colour of the sun. Your skin can become just as bright and radiant if this ingredient is present in your cream. Vitamin C strengthens blood vessel walls, has an anti-inflammatory effect and protects against free radicals. It brightens the skin, reduces discolouration and evens out skin tone. As a result, it visibly rejuvenates the skin and stimulates collagen renewal.
Growth peptide factors
Cosmetics with growth peptide factors are excellent formulations for regenerating and strengthening the condition of the skin. Growth peptide factors are polypeptides with a molecular weight of 5-50 kDa. They have many important functions: they control the growth, proliferation and differentiation of cells through various inter- and intracellular signalling pathways. The growth peptide factors contained in cosmetics are not completely identical to those produced in our body. They merely reproduce key peptide sequences that can bind to and activate the same receptors. Cosmetics with growth peptide factors are recommended as a powerful rejuvenating stimulation or for the correction of scar changes at a younger age.
Peptides
Peptides are protein molecules that consist of a chain of linked amino acids of different lengths. They help to eliminate emerging epidermal problems in a timely manner, keeping the skin looking younger for longer. There are several types of peptides in human skin, and Chantarelle cosmetics have used such peptides, among others:
-
- Signal peptides
They act as signallers. They activate the division of cells in the dermis and are responsible for the regeneration of damaged fibroblasts. Their tasks also include stimulating the synthesis of hyaluronic acid, collagen and elastin, resulting in increased skin density, elasticity and firmness. These include peptides such as Synpept 2-Peptide, Matryxyl 3-Peptide, Retino-Pept, Syn-Eye, Royalepigen 5 Epigenetic Pentapeptide 48, Hya-Stim 3-Peptide.
-
Neuropeptides
Skin that is subjected to constant tension and wrinkling loses its ability to relax after a while, which causes the first facial wrinkles to outline. Neurotransmitter peptides counteract these constant strains and tensions. They contribute to blocking muscle contractions. They also relax facial wrinkles and prevent the formation of new lines and furrows in the skin. They therefore act in a similar way to the substance known in cosmetology – Botox. These include peptides such as Synvel 3-Peptide, Anemone Neuropeptide
-
Biomimetic peptides
This is a special group of peptides. They are synthetic compounds that mimic natural peptides, thereby influencing the body’s processes (affecting target cells directly). They have an anti-ageing effect, as they stimulate cells to produce collagen and elastin. In addition, they help fight discolouration and cellulite, counteract hair loss and influence the breakdown of adipose tissue. In Chantarelle cosmetics, these include peptides such as Aquatide Peptide, Lip 3-Peptide, Perfection Peel Peptide, Royalepigen Epigenetic Pentapeptide-48.
